Dearest English Enjoyer,
The difference between Make and Do is one of the most common stumbling blocks for learners of English, as many languages use a single verb for both.
If English is one of our mother tongues, we learn this distinction through collocation—which is the habitual juxtaposition of a particular word with another word or words with a frequency greater than chance—or more simply expressed: through exposure and repetition.
I hope you do your homework, and make a note of any mistakes.
Yours faithfully,
Thomas
